My interest in make-up and Special Effects make-up blossomed in the eighties while I was in a government training program in down town Los Angeles .
After our training day was over we had several hours for recreation before lights out. My idea of recreation was to have a friend assist me in making myself up as a gruesome corpse, then go stand at a street corner with my face pointed down waiting for a car to stop for a red light.
When someone did stop, I would raise my face up into full view and slowly walk towards the car. Most of the time, they would burn rubber and go through the red light trying to get away from me. I'd usually have about 20 or 30 people lounging around behind me watching, trying to appear nonchalant, laughing like crazy.

A few years after that I moved to New York where I met several people who would be instrumental in helping direct my career - wise. I also met a man who became my partner and friend, Mr. Carl Paolino. For 5 years we ran a school for special effects and stop motion animation as well as a production facility. During this time, our client list included:
MTV - CELEBRITY DEATHMATCH
COKE-A-COLA - NFL MONSTERS OF THE GRIDIRON
VICTORIA'S SECRET - T.V. SPOT
NINTENDO - T.V. SPOT
CUERVO - TEST PROMOTIONAL SPOT
At this juncture, I started working for two costume companies; RUBIES COSTUMES & FORUM NOVELTIES as a new product designer / fabricator, as well as a make-up artist for their many catalog shoots.
As my partnership with Mr. Paolino ended , I became freelance again, and I began working full time for RUBIES COSTUMES & FORUM NOVELTIES creating many different types of costumes and novelties.
Late in July of 2004 my family and I move to Ohio. I was fortunate enough to land a position at Cedar Point Amusement Park, as part of a team of 11 make-up artists for their annual HALLOWEEKENDS. It was our job to create makeup's for 70 to 75 performers per night for the entire 6 week run of the show.
Eventualy, I was able to build my own small company called BONE ZONE creating a variety of fun and creepy products with a skeletal or bone theme.
I am grateful that things have worked out so that I can offer my companies services from our new location here in Ohio. I look forward to hearing from you with your creative ideas.
